Hillsborough Auto Repair

It was my first time going to WALKO and I was very pleased. I went there after the Toyota dealership Service kept telling me to fix a number of things including all brakes and rotors for a total of $1,800 which made me look for a second opinion. WALKO told me that the rear brakes were still good to go. They did their own inspection of the car and found things that Toyota reported, except that on Toyota side I felt pressured to replace things whereas the WALKO guy Kyle presented a clearer picture of the urgency/importance of each item. Regarding cost, I'm no expert but it seemed fair, in any case cheaper than the Toyota Service. A big difference is that they charged me 12$ to replace my license plate lights whereas Toyota quoted 65$. When I came back to pick up my car, I was ready to pay and upon seeing that it was my first visit they removed $30 from the bill as a welcome promotion. I knew nothing about this and they could have said nothing so that's a good sign. Overall I'm thinking about coming here now in the future and stop going to the official Toyota Service that I've been using for 10 years. Keep it up!

They are very polite and professional. I brought the car in for AC not working. They found a minor part not working, and they replaced it, serviced and tested everything. Very happy for the fair pricing and prompt time. Definitely the neighborhood go-to place for honest auto repair. Thank you!

The front end person I was speaking to is Barney, didn’t meet the mechanic but was able to see the mechanic inspect my car. I have to tell you compared to other experiences I had with mechanics / shops, Walko seem to be the most honest. Barney talked to me about my car before proceeding with any repairs I needed and gave me his honest opinion about what he would do. Didn’t feel pressured to do more than what I came in for and I appreciate that. I hate from previous shops they would use the scare tactic to push repairs. Walko thank you for employing honest staff members who treat their customers well. You are my shop for my accord 2017 now. Only downside wish you were open on one of the weekends.
